The sooner your team guesses what you’re trying to act out, the higher the chances of winning for your team. It’s one of the best ways to get your guest in the party mood. You should stay prepared for your party to get loud with laughter, shouting, and cheers because this game gets heated up pretty quickly.
How to Play Guessing Games
Continue reading this blog to know how guessing games are played and how you need to prepare for it if you’ve never played one before. However, you need not worry because preparing for a guessing game and playing it is very easy.
Preparing for Guessing Games
Preparing for a guessing game isn’t rocket science. All you’re required to do is think of names of movies, things, songs, celebrities, or anything you think can be ‘enacted upon’ and make paper chits for each. Fold the paper chits and put them all in a bowl. Moreover, if you want to make the game super-exciting, arrange a minute timer.
Playing the Game
Divide your guests into two or more teams, depending on the number of guests present at your party. Now, one person from each team will draw a paper slip from the bowl one by one. They’ll give visual cues and signs to communicate with their team members and try to make them guess what’s on their paper slip. If their team guesses it right, they get the point, but if they don’t, their score remains unchanged. However, the guessing isn’t what makes the guessing game so much fun? Every team gets only a minute to make a guess. The team members will shoot their guesses like gunshots – one after one in an attempt to get it right.
After the minute is over, someone from the other team will draw a paper chit from the bowl and it’ll be their team’s turn to make a guess. Then, when all the you open all the paper chits, the game ends.
The more guesses a team makes, the higher their score will be, and the greater will be their chances of winning!
Guessing Game Variations
You don’t have to keep the guessing game limited to guessing through visual cues. You can include riddles for the participants to guess. Participants can also hum the tune of a song and have others guess what song it is. Or you can even include famous dialogues and ask the participants to guess who the dialogue belongs to or which movie it was featured in. The ground for creativity is open, and the possibilities are endless. However, there’s one thing you should remember – don’t make your guests guess things that are boring. Only include things that would excite them!
With a guessing game, you can make your house party an instant hit among your family and friends. The best thing about this game is it’s highly versatile, and people of all ages can play it. You can keep the game simple if you’re planning to engage kids in it and make it as hard as you want for the older guests. Playing a guessing game is an absolute delight!
