You’ve got a party coming up, and you need supplies.
At least, I’m assuming that’s why you clicked an article that literally said “Where to Get Great Party Supplies for Cheap.” Maybe I’m assuming too much.
Well, I’m not one to leave you hanging if you need supplies. I’ve been in that boat, and know you just might be an hour away from having the passengers climb aboard.
That’s why you’re going to head over to Dollar Tree.
Heck, if you are not a procrastinator (like me), you can even look online. They ship to you, or to store.
First, we’ll need some decorations. What’s a party without streamers, banners, and hanging pom poms?
I was serious about pom poms. They come in different colors, too.
Blue, purple, pink, white, green, yellow -you name it, they might have it.
I did mention banners. It’s not a happy birthday unless you’ve got that message hanging from string, after all.
You’re not limited to just one style, either.
Dollar Tree has fringe, letters, and circle options. Go crazy.
Whatever you do, do not forget balloons.
My kids are crazy about them. They want me to pick up a few even when it’s not a party.
That’s because those store workers inflate a few dozen, leaving the strings within reach of all the kids.
They know what they’re doing.
Hey, why not? They’re only a dollar. Pick up a multi-pack from the party area, too, to entertain all the young ‘uns when their Mylar ones finally pop.
If any are left, you can tape them around the house or make a balloon bouquet.
Not doing a birthday party? Perhaps you’re looking for something less bright and kid-friendly?
The dollar store’s got your back there, as well. We can do cheap and classy.
Like, with candles. I love the look of candles -no, not on a cake. I said we were doing less kiddie here.
I’m talking decorative glass holders with flickering tea lights. Look how pretty these are, with the looped metal handles.
I’m also a fan of more organic décor, like all-natural materials.
You can’t get much more natural than with what Nature produces: plants.
Succulents are so hot right now. Use a few for accents, give them as party favors, or even decorate a cake.
We’ve pretty much got decorations down. If not; there are still hanging spirals, crêpe paper, stars, and garlands to throw in your cart.
You’re going to need some table supplies next. This is what I always go to Dollar Tree for.
I love that I can pick up a whole set of one color: tablecloth, plates, napkins, utensils, and cups. They’re so affordable!
They also have a wide selection of straws, including those trendy paper straws.
I have seen so many cute craft ideas and table arrangements using these. For only a dollar, you can’t lose!
Now: are you planning games at your shingdig? You don’t want to be the lame host or hostess, only serving a succulent cake with striped straws.
Besides having game supplies, we all know the dollar store is THE BEST PLACE for prizes.
Well… I actually meant things like toys. A ribbon’s cool, too. Good thing they have more than just “princess,” though that might work for a funny gag award.
For the rest, there’s an entire toy aisle of soldiers, bubble solution, cars, balls, glow bracelets, and even puzzles.
While you’re picking up game prizes, go ahead and grab supplies for take-home gifts. You know: goodie bags.
For one thing, Dollar Tree has the actual bags. Again, lots of options for way cheap.
After that, the stock’s the limit in what you can stuff in those things.
Dollar Tree even has multi-packs if you’re stumped. Try some rattles, tops, slinky toys, frogs, noise makers, or various glow toys.
You’re set! Right?
What? You need to make a birthday cake?
You did know there are cake mixes, pans, spoons, and measuring cups over there too, right?
All pictures came from Dollar Tree; except the tiered cake, which was from Green Wedding Shoes.
